The Refreshments was a band formed in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They extensively played in Tulsa and surrounding area in the mid 90's. They independently released one album in 1995 called Music for People Who Eat. One of their most popular songs was "Beer", which they played in various musical styles like punk, country, heavy metal, and reggae and many times during the same set. "Space Bicycle Rider" was another notable song, mixing heavy drums and melodic guitar riffs. They were all foodies and enjoyed writing songs about food, such as "Twinkies", "Coffee", and the aforementioned "Beer" among others. In 1996 the trio went their separate ways.
